All this talk about facebook.com being offered $750m and allegedly holding out for $2b forces me to compare facebook.com and xanga.com with alexa. Looks like Xanga is kicking their butt. By the way, Alexaholic? Cool service!

Stinky

When our dog maggie comes across a squirrel corpse or some other dead and rotting detritus she tends to roll around on it. Presumably to acquire it's stench for some dog reason. Anyway, the other day I was laying down and she came over and rolled in my armpit. I took a shower right away.

Prepare-ed-ness

This afternoon I worked from home. Livy and were arguing about how many gallons of water we would need in an earthquake survival kit. Finally I gave in to her eight gallons.

About fifteen minutes later it felt like our house was a parked car and somebody bumped gently into us. I just read scriptingnews.com and Dave said there was an earthquake today. Nice!

Haircut

I rode my bike down the hill we live on to get a haircut this afternoon and the first thing the lady told me when I sat down was, "you look tired." When she was just about done with the haircut she said, "now you look better, younger." So I'm tired and old. Nice. Finally, she took off the apron and said, "okay, now you go home and take shower." Tired, old, and dirty. Got it. Then I had to ride back up the hill with groceries in my backpack.

Missing Jennifer Garrett

You can take the girl out of Texas but you can't get her to stick around at your geek parties. Seriously, I got like ten minutes with jengarrett and then she was off. I had schemes I wanted to run by her and unlimited booze sponsored by Google and Odeo. I may have to arrange a faux conference just to chat.

Musing with The Widget

I love this little Blogger widget. Reminds me of how I used to blog when I first started. I would just post stuff without links. Now that I'm rocking the del.icio.us I don't really post so many links so maybe I'll just muse with my widget. For example, what do you think of this idea: Digital Tattoos. Huh? You get a tiny, subdermal chip installed along with some e-ink and you've got yourself a tattoo that tells time. Or somesuch.
