Get More Comments

Blogger launches Backlinks—they're comments from people who didn't actually leave a comment. If somebody links to your post in their post then you get backlinks. The feature is based on the link: operator of Blog Search. Note: sites linking to your blog will need to be indexed by Blog Search so there may be a slight delay before the backlinks appear on your blog.

Are backlinks the reason im unable to highlight the text on your blog? (Firefox/Windows) I havent been able to highlight text from my own blog either since i implemented backlinks.

I don't think that has anything to do with it. Though I must say it's very odd that I can't highlight Biz's text either. Weird.

This highlight thing seems like a new Blogger bug. I'll let the Blogger folks know.

Its a definate bug with Blogger It comes and goes with enableling back links. It only seems to happen with Fire Fox and Opera. It works fine with IE. I hope they fix it soon, because it makes my blog unquotable for a lot of people that normally quote my blog.

Not all comments are important enough they would justify a blog posting on my side.

In case of blogger blogs: I will not go on and sign up for a blogger account, just to leave a comment somewhere.

Add those two, and you have an easy way to reduce your overall comment size.

Of course, if somebody wants to spam your blog, they will have no problem in using blogger identities.

Nice feature. But what is the 'create a link' for? Does your readers have to add it manually or blogsearch does it automatically?

The create link is just BlogThis! -- it's only there in case you want to make a post about my post. The other option would just be to have blank space and then it might just look broken.

It would be great! Will not need to add Haloscan.
