Nebraska is plush. I’m in a Country Suite in Lincoln, NE. There’s an internet connection, laundry, gym, and a really nice room. A far cry from yesterday’s Knights Inn (Indiana) with the overly friendly Iraqi manager: “I am from Iraq but I am catholic. F***ing Sadam. I hate him.” I believe you, where’s my room? I didn’t audioblog last night because I was too weirded out. Okay, I drove all day and I am psyched for this clean looking shower. Also: today is my little sister’s birthday: Happy birthday Sofie!

Liz I don't mean to give you a hard time but I get a sense that you are not getting where the Iraqi fellow was coming from. Your country has invaded his country and killed over half a million of their people. At the same time there are Iraqi's that are killing Americans. A very few Iraqi's are being allowed into America as refugees. So, I think the Iraqi chap was trying to clarify where he stood amongst all this confusing chaos.

Hey Cyrus, thanks for the comment. This post is four years old but you still make a good point. To clarify, I wasn't weirded out by the hotel manager, I was weirded out in general from driving cross country and being in Indiana.
