I was thinking about sponsored blogging yesterday. You know, 'bargain bloggers' at eBay, 'author blogs' at Amazon, 'diet blogs' at Weight Watchers, 'running blogs' at Nike.

Big companies could build strong community and valuable content into their sites by offering personal publishing software to eager bloggers interested in staying on topic.

Some bloggers like parameters. When I was a kid, I used to ask my mom: “What should I draw?” She would say: “Draw whatever you want.” Not an acceptable answer. “Draw a truck.” Now that was a good suggestion. (I was gonna draw a truck either way.) Nevertheless, you get me. Sponsored blogs.
