Jamie, I'm tired. Go to bed. Well, we moved again. We upgraded to a better apartment and the rent is much less. Good combo! I managed to move all the furniture myself in the compact car. How? Pure genius. I took a break to watch Enterprise the other night... good stuff. I'm psyched for the season. Okay, gotta go relocate various items into various places within the new "domainius prime."

Since blogger launched it's Put your ad on Blog*Spot campaign, I thought I would create Banner*Spot. So I did! I mean, if you're gonna advertise on a minimum of 100,000 blogs, don't you think your banner ads should look good?

I could work for this company because I can hold my breath for a long time. But I'd rather do some freelance design work.

Well, it's here! Dan, Monsur, Janet, Marc, and John have brought it to life despite that fact that I was also involved. WebCrimson is content management for your website, webzine, weblog, or anything else that starts with "web." Don't fight over it now, there's plenty to go around.

In elementary school my friend held up a tater-tot and said, "These are good, what are they called?" I didn't know what they were called so I said, "Franklins." Years later, in high school, somebody called me out. But to this day I still think, "Mmm... Franklins," whenever I eat those crunchy little potato nuggets.

Note to self: aerobed is not good place for cat to sharpen claws. Result of this interaction is airless version of aerobed. Hmm, the "airless aerobed" -- I could be onto something there.

Nostradamus Knocks Out Sex in Cybersearches: For the first time in the history of the Internet, search engines report that "sex" dropped off their top 10 lists and perennial favorites like Pam Anderson were displaced. On no!

Add this discussion about an airliner hitting the World Trade Center on a message board about a year ago to the list of eerie forecasts of this tragedy.
I had to sign an official document that insures my silence but Adobe Systems Incorporated is coming out with a really cool new product that is really fancy and high tech. I'm going to write about it for my next article. I am a secret Adobe operative, don't try to bequile or confuse me.
This pic phone is kinda neat but I'd rather have a digital camera that sends the images straight to my web site.

What? The Princess Bride Special Edition DVD? I had no idea this was out! Livia just read about it in a magazine. It has commentary by director Rob Reiner and William Goldman, a documentary featuring interviews with Cary Elwes, Robin Wright Penn, Billy Crystal, Mandy Patinkin, exclusive footage shot by Elwes during the making of the movie, and 2 original featurettes. Amazing.

Tons upon metric tons of buried gold under the towers: "The bars are still there... unless they melted and disappeared."

I designed this book's jacket back in the day at Little, Brown & Co when their art department was still on Beacon Hill in Boston. Collector's edition!

Livia just heard on the news that inmates at Folsom Prison raised $1000 for the firefighters in New York. I think it pushed her over the edge. Now she thinks all inmates are nice, snuggly, old grandfather types wrongfully accused of stealing a loaf of bread in 1972. That could be true, I have never been there.
Has professor Loren Coleman, cryptozoologist found a remarkable image of Bigfoot dating back to the 1930s, or were those just hairier days for everyone? (via MeFi)
"Today all the European Union remained in silence for 3 minutes as a manifestation of protest against terrorists and in solidarity with the US people." Roberto, my contact at European Press in Italy, emailed me that this morning. Good stuff!
Wow, the Amazon Disaster Relief Fund has raised $4.3 Million already and it's growing by the minute.
The Rev. Jerry Falwell says gays, feminists, and pagans, have made "God mad" and must share the blame for the terrorist attacks. The Rev. is not affiliated with Genius Labs.

"I'm ok, just a little weirded out, sad and angry. I went downstairs to 5th ave with a couple of the people here after Mike came in and said that a plane had just hit the WTC, thinking it was a horrible accident like everyone else, and we actually saw the 2nd plane hit the second tower and that incredible ball of fire. From our end of town there was no sound so it was all totally surreal. People cried and screamed. Needless to say, it's a thing I'll never forget. It's like a war zone here." My friend Steve works at the Flatiron building in New York.

The nation wasn't torn apart by chaos and widespread panic partly because of our access to information. It was great to be able to check who was okay via IM and email when the phones wouldn't work.

"I saw horror on everyone's faces, and my immediate instinct was to get out of there! I knew that whatever was going on, I did not want to be there. Without even glancing south I hurried into the subway station and grabbed the first train uptown...to the roof of our office building... and there, over the next thirty minutes, I watched both towers burn and collapse. I'm scared and I'm sad and I'm stunned - but I'm ok." My friend Marc lives in lower Manhattan near where the World Trade Center terrorism occurred. That was part of an email he sent me this morning.

We just had our first earthquake. It was a 4.2 according to Lucy Jones of the U.S. Geological Survey but I missed it because I was out jogging. I must have been in mid-stride when it struck.

Many have criticized the design of euro notes as bland and Europeans seem to prefer their own national currencies. But when some German theives hit an armored van, stole the marks, and left wads of euros sitting there—that speaks louder than any opinion polls. Ouch!

FREE GAS
Yesterday I had to drive to "the valley." It's not that far but it takes about 20 minutes or so without heavy traffic. As I approached my destination I happened to notice that there was no fuel left in the car. But that was fine because I was right next to a gas station. So I pulled in. But I had forgotten my wallet! I found .80 on the floor of the car and explained my situation to the attendant. I could afford a cup of gas. Then some guy came in to buy some chewing gum or something and said, "...and ten bucks worth for this guy." Altruism rocks Natick!

Cloudy Weather Has Silver Lining for Motorists: Newly installed solar-powered parking meters have fallen victim to Britain's notoriously gloomy weather, allowing hundreds of motorists to escape paying for tickets. "This is an ill-thought scheme." Said one city councilor. Oops!

I added a new feature to Blogdexter that lets you jump right to your "stats" page. Find out your blog's all time rank, the # of links to your blog, the last time it was crawled by Blogdex, and more. Good stuff.

People are actually using Blogdexter to see who's linking to them (and what they're saying!) Good stuff.
Good reason for digital photos: "Private holiday photos belonging to British Prime Minister Tony Blair and his family ended up in the hands of a bewildered Scottish man after a mix-up by a film processing shop" For some reason "bewildered Scottish man" sounds funny to me... "Whut knd uf shut us thus?!"

This just in: Scientists to develop organic molecules that self assemble from liquid into efficient solar cell coatings. They are designing, synthesising and characterising molecules that will form highly ordered liquid crystal coatings 100 nanometres in thickness that will efficiently transport electrical charge. This could be good for my solar powered personal airship.

BBC News is reporting that I died in a freak glider accident with Brittany Spears. This could be good, maybe I won't have to pay my 1999 taxes that I still owe!
